About
Install FAHMY
Put FAHMY on your home screen, desktop or Dock. It opens from its own icon and keeps working without signal.
When your browser can install FAHMY, an Install button appears in the header, or Install app under More on a phone. Use it, or follow the steps for your device below. Menu names change between browser versions; each section links the vendor's own help page.
What Installing Gives You
- FAHMY gets its own icon and opens in its own window, without browser tabs.
- After your first visit online, every page, field tool, map view and search works offline. (That is true in the browser too; installing keeps it one tap away.)
- In Chrome and Edge, opening FAHMY again reuses the window that is already open.
- No app store and no account. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
Offline data: unknown
Browsers can clear a website's saved copy when the device runs low on space. Installing FAHMY as an app makes that less likely.
iPhone and iPad
Safari
- Open FAHMY in Safari.
- Tap Share. On iOS 26 and later, if Share is not in the toolbar, tap the More button (iOS 26) or the Page Menu button (iOS 27) first.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. On iPad, tap View More first (iPadOS 27; iPadOS 26 calls it More). If Add to Home Screen is missing on iPhone, scroll to the bottom, tap Edit Actions and add it.
- If you see Open as Web App, turn it on.
- Tap Add. The icon appears only on the device where you add it.
On iOS 18 and earlier there is no More button: tap Share in the toolbar, then Add to Home Screen and Add.
Other Browsers on iPhone and iPad
Since iOS and iPadOS 16.4, other browsers can offer Add to Home Screen too. In Chrome, tap Share on the right of the address bar, then Add to Home Screen, check the details and tap Add.
Remove It
Touch and hold the FAHMY icon on the Home Screen, then choose the option to remove it. Apple's app guide describes Remove App, then Delete App; for a Chrome shortcut, Google's help names Delete Bookmark.

Android
Chrome
- Open FAHMY in Chrome.
- On the right of the address bar, tap More, then Install and create shortcut, then Install.
- Follow the instructions on screen. FAHMY opens from your launcher or home screen.
Remove it: open Android Settings, then Apps, then See all apps. Tap FAHMY, then Uninstall.

Samsung Internet
Open FAHMY in Samsung Internet. If an install or add (plus) icon shows in the address bar, tap it; otherwise open the browser menu and choose the option to add the page to your Home screen. Menu names vary by version, and Samsung has no current step-by-step help page, so these steps follow Samsung's developer guide. Remove it the same way as other apps on your phone.

Windows and macOS: Chrome and Edge
Chrome
The same steps work in Chrome on Linux.
- Open FAHMY in Chrome.
- Click Install at the right of the address bar if it shows. Or click More at the top right, then Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app.
- Follow the prompts. FAHMY then opens from the Dock or the desktop.
Remove it: open the FAHMY app, click More, then Uninstall FAHMY, then Remove. Tick Also delete data from Chrome to remove saved inputs too. On a Chromebook, right-click the icon in the launcher and choose Uninstall.

Microsoft Edge
- Open FAHMY in Edge.
- Click the App available icon in the address bar, then Install. Or select Settings and more (…), then More tools, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.

Mac: Safari
Needs macOS Sonoma 14 or later.
- Open FAHMY in Safari.
- Choose File > Add to Dock from the menu bar, or click Share in the toolbar and choose Add to Dock.
- Type a name (or keep FAHMY), then click Add.
FAHMY then opens from the Dock or from Spotlight.
Remove it: in the Finder choose Go > Home, open Applications, and drag FAHMY to the Trash.

Browsers That Cannot Install FAHMY
- Safari on a Mac older than macOS Sonoma 14 cannot add web apps to the Dock.
- Browsers other than Safari on iPhone and iPad before iOS and iPadOS 16.4.
- Browsers built into other apps (a link opened inside email, chat or social apps). Open FAHMY in your main browser first.
- Firefox: Mozilla describes web apps for Firefox on Windows and on Android in its own help pages. We could not confirm those steps, so follow Mozilla's pages: Mozilla Support: Use web apps in Firefox for Windows; Mozilla Support: Use web apps with Firefox for Android.
Without installing, FAHMY still works in any of these browsers, and offline after your first visit.
Updating FAHMY
FAHMY downloads new versions by itself. When one is ready, a message says Update available with a Reload button. Tap Reload when it suits you; nothing reloads on its own, so a checklist or tool you are using is never interrupted.
Removing FAHMY
Each platform above says how to remove the app. Some browsers ask whether to delete the site's data too; if you keep it, your checklist ticks and tool inputs stay in that browser.
